At MakFreelance, we respect the intellectual property rights of others and expect our users to do the same. This policy outlines our commitment to protecting the rights of content creators and provides guidance on what to do if you believe your intellectual property has been infringed upon on our platform.

Types of Infringement Covered:

  1. Copyright Infringement:
    Unauthorized use of copyrighted material, such as articles, images, videos, or other content, without the permission of the copyright holder.
  2. Trademark Infringement:
    Misuse of trademarks or service marks, including logos, brand names, or slogans, that could cause confusion among consumers or dilute the trademark owner’s rights.
  3. Patent Infringement:

  4. Trade Secret Infringement:
    Disclosure or use of confidential business information, such as formulas, practices, or processes, without the owner’s consent.

Reporting Infringement:

If you believe that your intellectual property rights have been infringed upon on MakFreelance, please contact us immediately with the following information:

  1. A description of the work or material that you claim has been infringed.
  2. A description of where the infringing material is located on MakFreelance, including a URL if possible.
  3. Your contact information, including your name, address, email address, and phone number.
  4. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use of the material in question is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  5. A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information provided in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on behalf of the owner.
  6. An electronic or physical signature of the person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the intellectual property.

MakFreelance Response:

Upon receiving a valid infringement notice, MakFreelance will:

  1. Promptly remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material.
  2. Notify the user responsible for the material that it has been removed or disabled.
  3. Terminate repeat infringers’ accounts where appropriate.

Counter-Notification:

If you believe that your content was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may file a counter-notification with us. Your counter-notification must include:

  1. Your name, address, and phone number.
  2. A description of the material that was removed and where it appeared on MakFreelance before it was removed.
  3. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
  4. Your electronic or physical signature.

Upon receiving a valid counter-notification, we may restore the removed material unless the original complainant files a court action against you within 10 business days.
